  • To provide local, national and international youth with life changing cross-cultural experiences which motivate them towards new approaches in sustainable development.

  • To support grassroots organizations already working towards establishing multicultural, self sufficient, and sustainable communities in developing countries.

Vision

To encourage rural grassroots organizations in the Amazon to participate in their own sustainable development. We provide the tools, the technical advisory, and the eco-friendly market access they need.  They do the rest.

Mission

How We Do It

Since 2007, we have been motivating our local partners to engage in their sustainability. In November, 2011, we received a prize from USAID to begin a project to support sustainable agriculture and form an infrastructure for successful community based tourism in San Roque de Cumbaza and the surrounding area. In 2012, we received a grant from the Global Environmental Facility of the UNDP (United Nations Development Program), beginning a new stage in our community work. Since then, we have initiated the project from multiple angles: providing local community members with the resources for edible gardens, supporting local beekeepers, and providing workshops for local youth to gain skills in ecotourism. Soon we will begin with forest conservancy, rainwater harvesting, and permaculture.
