This is more than just volunteering, right???

We all love to travel abroad and the North of Peru is where the pre-Inka ancient cultures were based. They were the real guards of traditional Andean-Amazonian Knowledge. If you want some less "massive tourism" destinations and a little bit more of an authentic "out of the beaten track" experience, then we encourage you to visit these wonderful northern territorries.

Upper Amazon Jungle

San Martin Region is where we and our project sites are located. We look forward to run projects in some other areas, but now your Ecowarrior Volunteer Week will be here: in the Tropical Mountain Forests that give birth to the Amazon River. We can visit the Blue Lagoon, Tingana Forest Reserve, practice some Rafting and Zipline, visit Lamas Folkloric Town and enjoy Tarapoto city!

Andean Chachapoyas & Kuelap Fortress

Chachapoyas culture was one of the main societies able to resist Inka's Empire. In the surroundings of Chachapoyas city there are many archeological sites combined with forests and natural attractions to visit. The Museum of Leymebamba and it's 4000 mummies and the third biggest waterfall in the world (Gocta Waterfall - 777 m.) complete the visit.

Pacaya Samiria National Reserve & Iquitos

The biggest Tropical Forest Reserve in Peru is placed between San Martin Region and Iquitos, the biggest Peruvian city in the Amazon and located in front of the huge Amazon River. We can get there either by cargo boat from San Martin or after a short flight to Iquitos. In Pacaya Samiria you can have the chance to see the pink dolphin, caimans, otters and many other tropical river species.
