Rainforest Mountain Trekking

Inka Trail is the most well known Trekking experience in Peru. It begins in the Sacred Inka Valley from where you walk 4 days until you reach the Ruins of Machu Picchu. The south of Peru is well known for Trekkings among snow peaks, ancinet ruins and Andean Mountains (High-Lands over 3,000 m. over sea level).

We are developing the first Trekking in the Amazonian Rainforest Mountains in Peru. It combines Nature, Adventure and Culture in a 4-days/3-nights experience. Every tour includes a Fee to preserve the Forests of local native communites, to improve educational levels and to prompt a local sustainable economy.

The first day we hike up from 600 m. over the sea level to 1,200 m. During the morning we will have great landscapes to see the difference between the Protected Cloud Forests of the Cordillera Escalera Regional Conservancy area and the farming landscapes of rural villages. After having lunch in an organic coffee farm we continue hikking up to the Primary Protected Forests of Local Native  "Quechua-Lamas" Communities where we will camp.

Second day we will enjoy exploring a 126 m. long Giant Stone where the river becomes a thin rug really close to the headwaters where it gets born. We will also swim and explore the 150m. waterfalls of Sunipi Kausani and the gorgeous waterfalls of Rumiyacu and Velo de la Novia. This Adventure Day our camp site will be set in front of the Waterfalls.

Third day we will hike to the Native Community of Chirikyacu, the owners and protectors of the Rainforest Mountains we visited on days  1 and 2. The best way to connect with them will be making some pottery with local ladies. Some other local group will feed us and we will have a more comfortable stay at the communal lodge.

Day 4 we will just hike down a few hours to the center of San Roque District where we can enjoy the river and the peace of having contributed to local sustainable development.
